Focus on 0–100 first, then thousands; watch y vs. e before i- sounds (veintiuno, treinta y uno).
Sixteen–nineteen are compounds: dieciséis, diecisiete… (accent on seis in dieciséis).
Veinti- fuses in 21–29: veintiuno, veintidós — agreement: veintiuna horas.
100 = cien before nouns or alone; ciento before other numbers: ciento uno.
Mil is invariable; millón takes de in plural counts: dos millones de personas.
