How to type Spanish characters on Android
Step-by-step: type ñ, accented vowels, ü, ¿, and ¡ on Android. Quick reference for Spanish students.
How to type them
- Tap the text field to open Gboard (or your default keyboard).
- Touch and hold a vowel or N to see accented variants; release on the one you need.
- For ¿ and ¡, long-press ? or ! on the symbols layer.
Tip: Gboard: tap and hold keys for accents; you can add Spanish (Spain or Latin America) in Gboard settings for a dedicated ñ key and quicker access.
